What a week...er even year this is shaping up to be so far! Some pretty splendiferous things are on the horizon for me and the fam, but I'll save that for another time :-) As for now, I have a nice little (or big) dinner party on the horizon for me this weekend. Yes, I am hosting and to be honest this is the first time I've prepared dinner for a large crowd other than for my family, so of course I'm just a tad nervous. Right now I'm thinking about the Hors d'oeuvres - pastry wrapped brie with blackberries, spinach balls (they are yummier than they sound), perhaps some kind of dip. The possibilities are quite endless, you see? So darlings tell me - what are some of your go-to Hors d'oeuvres, that you make for special occasions? No need to be shy - I'll welcome any recipes or Pinterest pins etc, so share away to your heart's content.
Other than that, I'm all crittered out today with birds and squirrels. Seemed pretty appropriate that my duck and swan friends wanted to join in with me on the photos as well.
Happy Tuesday darlings!
Love Bunches,
Love the blog! You've really got a unique sense of style - simultaneously effortless and beautiful. Date, Bacon, and cheese empanadas, along with chimichurri flank steak skewers are my usual faves for entertaining... they're usually pretty popular and gobbled up rather quickly. Since going vegetarian, I've been a fan of homemade potstickers. Best of luck entertaining.
ReplyDeleteawesome, love all of it! the way you layer things is always just right! I always like fresh veggies with vegan dip or humus, really colorful, healthy, and suits all dietary needs.
ReplyDeletelove this! you wear blue so so well! Xx
ReplyDeleteHey dear ! My faves are mini quiches with leek, mushrooms and bacon. Mini meatballs illed with feta cheese. Mini New York club sandwiches. Well there are sooo many delicious starters, gues its hard to decide but i'm sure you'll be a fab host and chose some yummy stuff !
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is so cute, i love that beautiful & cosy cardi !
Have a nice day dear ! xx Tani
My favorites are mini meatballs. They always seem to be a hit :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so lovely-I almost bought that same dress, but sadly it didn't fit me. *sniff sniff* it looks fabulous on you though! Hope your dinner party goes well :)
So many animals, I love it! Both the sweater and dress are adorable, and I have been loving wearing knee highs with tights or knee highs over leggings for a bit of added warmth! That brie appetizer sounds so yummy! I am not much of a cook, but always love a good Mexican 7-layer dip, and its so easy to throw together!
ReplyDeleteYou could serve it with chips and maybe some sliced colorful peppers for a healthier option! :)
Stay warm my friend!

This dress is so adorable, I absolutely love the print!!! And the bright red tights are oh so perfect with it. These pictures are so dreamy!!
ReplyDeleteI love boccini salad (just boccini cheese, tomatoes, basil and olive oil/balsamic vinegar) and stuffed mushroom caps are always delicious for appitizers!

The light looks beautiful in these photos. The snow and the swans and the sunset look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI do love that you wore a dress to match the location! My favourite snack-types that I can make a vol-au-vents and cheese straws. When I cant make them, I buy chinese spring rolls and mini duck pancakes. Also, carrot sticks with lots of dip - nom.
My roomate has this dress! But it hits her at the knee because she's such a shorty haha. You look cute and I love your squirrely sweater! I don't know how to spell that or if it's a word, but google spell check wants to correct it to "irrelevantly".

What a stunner you are. I've been trying to figure out how to layer this dress (which I also own) for winter, and you've given me inspiration! Maybe I'll pull it out of the depths soon :) That cardigan is so special! I always go for berries and homemade whipped cream for company :) So sweet, but healthy too!
