I had the pleasure of spending this Memorial Day weekend with my family in Philly and a very special Saturday afternoon in the quaint little town of Wayne with my hubby. The scent of nostalgia was in the air as these were our old stomping grounds while in our final semester at college when we first befriended one another. We revisited the Starbucks where we first went out alone together and the little bridge we crossed at a nearby train station during a walk through the winter snow. As the snow fell upon us, we fell in love that night. I was engaged to someone else, but it became more than clear to me that I could not go back, I could not be without him. So in a nutshell, that is how the love story of my hubby and I began in February of 2003. I savored every moment this afternoon as we walked again in our very own footsteps from that time.

With that little tidbit, I wish all you darlings who are in the States, a very happy Memorial Day. Happy Monday to everyone else:)

Hello lovely darlings!

Hope you are having a marvelous week so far and surviving the unending rain (if you are here in the states). It's getting old, yes?, though I can't fret as my ruby red slippers make things all better for me...so much that students seem to be calling me "Dorothy", at the school I work at. Pretty fitting, as I sit at my desk and think, "There's no place like home".

So if you are getting drenched hang in there because they always say, "The sun will come out tomorrow".

Half way through the week and I am happy to report that I am surviving this wet weather. I have not melted yet:)

Nothing too out of the ordinary this week for me except that the school I work at had a fire started and we were all evacuated and moved to the stadium for two hours then sent home. Imagine all the excitement in the air that day with 2,000 students and a plethora of teachers and staff to keep contained and organized. Always an adventure. Luckily no one was hurt and nothing was seriously damaged.

That's about all for now darlings. I must be off to bed. Sweet dreams!

Good Morning Darlings!

Forecast this week: rain, rain, rain, rain, & more rain. Just the perfect excuse to wear my raincoat. My vow is to see the glass half full and enjoy the little things...like all the pretty flowers the rain brings to us.
Here's to not letting rainy days and Mondays get us down!

Whoa...what a week!!! I swear this has been the longest one ever and boy am I ever happy it has come to an end. No need to despair now, it's "Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday". No - I did not just sing that, did I? I tell ya, this is how loony this week has made me.

Anyways, enough gibberish. I wish you all a wonderful weekend. I am happy to say, I am spending mine in Philly with the hubster's fam relaxing, eating, perhaps a little shopping?? and more relaxing. How about you? Any fun plans?

These photos were from Saturday. Saturday is most definitely one of my favorite days.

I love sleeping in.
I love getting up and watching cartoons with my son.
I love pancakes and real maple syrup.
I love playing outside and taking walks.
I love taking my time.
I love the occasional shopping trip and coffee run.
I love dinners with my whole family.
I also love kinda doing nothing but doing everything I want at the same time.

Though at times I wish everyday was a Saturday, I just love the feeling of having Saturday to look forward to at the end of a long week.

Have the most lovely Monday darlings...Saturday is really not that far off.

It's hard to believe that the weather has dropped to the 40s/50s this morning in central, PA. Lovely spring weather, I really just want you to stay awhile, won't you? Anyways, I bundled up in typical Marisa fashion as I am perpetually cold no matter what the weather. In doing so, I probably pulled a major fashion faux pas by busting out my hunter green velvety shoes along with a fall color palette for my wardrobe on this day, but oh well, I never colored inside the lines anyways. Back to the shoes - as I was in the office minding my own business, standing behind the desk area, a student walked up to me and said, "Oh no no no Miss, why you be wearin those elf shoes?" I sweetly replied, "I decided to get in the Christmas spirit early this year."

So tell me darlings, have you received any silly or interesting comments concerning your wardrobe choices? Please do tell:)

Happy Thursday...we're almost there!

Love,
