Plane Spotters Place

Hello Darlings,
Hope you are having one swell weekend.  This one finds me yet again in Philly and I'm almost feeling as if this heart-filled city is becoming a second home to us as we've been here so often as of late.  Back in the suitcase again, but I really can't complain.  This place holds so many sweet memories for me as it is where Albert and I first really started our relationship with one another.  I'm sure if you look back I've written about it before but this quiet little area known as Plane Spotter's Place that is tucked away down a  beaten path behind the airport, next to the water, is where we spent summer's days laying on top the roof of his old Saturn watching the planes fly overhead and talking for hours.

Years later, we still come back to this same place.  Do you have any special places that you always go back to with your family or friends?

Love bunches,

  10. Aw! :) That is sweet that you have a place with such dear memories. My husband and I met in college...so...we always did our homework together in a dorm room? haha, not quite as poetic as your special place :D
Your photos are so beautiful as always. I love the little bits of interest you always add to your outfit-like the plaid shirt peeking out-so cute!

  12. You are too cute!

I moved away from home three years ago, but I still love to visit my parents in Lapland. Although I love living in a city, I adore the countryside and Lapland will forever be my true home :)

  13. These photos look so swell, Marissa! Photos by train tracks are my absolute favorite because they add a beautiful air of whimsy and old romance to a photograph...and you look so very lovely of course! ❤

  14. I do associate places with memories, I can't see how people wouldn't! So there are definitely places I avoid, but ones I cherish

  16. I found your blog through mary lou's blog where you commented about how we should all love our bodies and embrace them.
i couldn't agree more (to prove that my new post is called "are you curvy? embrace it?" and my last one "being different is beautiful" mary lou of mary lou cinnamon was kind to feature me on her latest post about embracing our bodies).
back to your blog and style, i like how your style is not inspired just by one decade, but its overly vintage with a romantic twist and a modern twist as well. *the boots* for me are the modern twist to a vintage inspired out*
*where do you find those hats, i want this one*
*great shade your top, very appropriate for summer and winter*
    * of course i am following you! dahhh, did u even ask?*
*since i saw no bloglovin button i am following you via GFC-oh i hope they don't shut GFC down, i don't want to loose my lovely followers>
*wanna become one of my lovely followers? if u don't fall asleep after reading my posts.

  19. Oh, this is such a sweet post Marisa. I'm hoping that as I get older and travel more I'll find more special places like this. Sutro Baths in San Francisco is definitely one of those places for me, though. It just makes me feel so happy and at peace and hopeful and thoughtful.
Anyway, you look wonderful as always! That hat is adorable :)

  27. I really love the first two photos so much!!! Your socks are soooo cute.
It is great that you go to that place so often when you are able to.

There are quite a few places that I have a lot of memories with my husband at, so yes, we go visit them from time to time because of that. We have 12 years of history together so there are a LOT of places to revisit!

I love that you shared a piece of that wonderful memory with us. It sounds like a dream or a movie, so sweet and surreal! I wish Josh and I had a place like that together. We can always make one though :).
