Saturday was spent in the company of great friends in a great city.  I stuffed myself with poached pear salad with goat cheese and shepherd's pie and later some good old fashioned banana ice cream with brownie chunks at The Franklin Fountain.  Then we frolicked by the water.  Boy did we ever frolic ... like a bunch of goobers, but it was fun and kind of silly.  At night we were serenaded by the lovely Ingrid Michaelson.  Though our feet hurt from standing a long while and we decided we were old enough to break out the orthopedics, the music was so sweet as was the evening, so it really didn't matter - especially since third row standing position was scored.  So we danced and we laughed and enjoyed one another's company and were very thankful that moving to a new town meant meeting friends like these.  Before heading back home we did the most unhealthy thing and got cheesesteaks and experienced the heart of Philly all together.  I think I felt like a kid again - out and about gallivanting and carrying on in a city that never sleeps.   I do believe being in the company of true blue friends, makes you feel young at heart...and that's quite a good feeling.

The End.

Wishing you a carefree week darlings!
Love Bunches,

    1. That cracks me up that you say that, because my friends used to tease me and say my teeth glow in the dark from being white like that - just like the episode of Ross on Friends...haha.

  11. Oh, my! What a great way to have spent the weekend! And may I say, once again, that I LOVE your outfit! Seriously! You're a genius when it comes to creating outfits!

Thank you SOOO much for your words, Marisa! :D And I'm glad you're going to see Keane, yay!!! I checked how much tickets to their concert in LA was, but they're too expensive. That's ok, though, hope they come again in the future. Aaand, this Saturday I'm finally going to a concert, so I'm happy about that. We're seeing Meiko, a Californian girl I got to know through MySpace when I lived in Argentina. She plays quite often but have never had the chance to see her before :).

Hope you're having an awesome week! ;D

    Hugs!

    1. They've definitely gone up a lot in price. When I first saw them on Hopes & Fears, tickets were only $15. This time around was pretty much so a joint Valentine's gift between the hubs and I.

Meiko...sounds familiar. Now I want to look her up and see what she's all about:) Happy Friday Miki!

    1. Oh wow, yes I did notice him! That's just way cool Chantilly! Several of my friends from college went to high school with a couple of the band members as well and one of my coworkers dated her bass player in college, I think...haha...so weird. We live in such a small world!

  26. This sounds like an amazing night!!! Good food, good friends, and a perfect outfit to boot! I just had the pink version of your dress in my shop recently (which I was very tempted to keep for myself), but alas, it is now on its way to a new home in London! I also must say, that is the cutest little vintage bag EVER!
