This past Saturday, I lost someone who meant the world to me. My grandmother, Nana, as I call her was such a sweet-hearted, kind and loving person. Words could never describe how amazing of a lady she was. She was nurturing, caring, feisty, and funny and just an all around lovely person inside and out. Such a strong rock in our family, I have some of the dearest childhood memories of her...I could write pages and pages about this. From the many nights I slept over at her house and how she always made me the most delicious banana pancakes in the morning set out with a tall glass of orange juice and vitamins to playing dress up with her pretty dresses and trying on her stunning collection of jewelry to visiting her at work and how she always set up the typewriter for me to type on because she knew it was my favorite thing to do. She loved old church hymns and she always sang them to me in the most beautiful voice and even taught me how to play some of these songs on the piano. She was sweet indeed. She will be missed and it hurts to think about it, but I know she is now in a better place. I will forever hold dear the many many wonderful memories I have with her. Love you Nana Banana.
As some of you know from reading along, I lost my other grandmother earlier this year so naturally this is quite a difficult time for me as both these ladies played such a huge role in my life. Because of this I will be taking a short break from the blog world to clear my head, reflect, and let my heart mend a bit.
Much love to you all.
See you soon darlings!

there's a quote i'd saved and love the sentiment and promise it's brought to me.
you can: laugh again after unspeakable loss. joy will wind it's way around scars that will never unknot within you - like smiling ivy warming tree roots.
be well Marisa, wishing you many, many blessings during this healing time. xoox ♥
I am very sorry about that! The way you wrote about her reminds me my grandmother as well, that I loved and she passed away many years ago. Well, at least we still have these great memories!
