Happy hump day darlings!
All I can say about today is that it rained, rained, rained...in fact, it's rained for the past couple days and hasn't stopped. I think days like this are best for big cozy sweaters and movie watching. I took full advantage of this little notion and popped the oh so sweet You've Got Mail in to watch with the hubs. Sometimes I don't think they make romantic comedies today like they did in the 90s...can we say, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks (double swoon). Anyhow, I whipped up some of my favorite pasta with homemade Arrabiata sauce (spicy sauce) and we cozied on the couch to beat our rainy day blues away.
On a way more seriously note, I simply couldn't publish this post without saying a huge heartfelt thanks to my grandfather and all the other veterans who served our country 70 years ago today at Pearl Harbor. Words cannot express my gratitude for all the sacrifice you made on our country's behalf. You were a brave soldier, the most loving husband, father, and grandfather and had the biggest heart I've ever known a man to have. Missing you so much these days and so very happy to have had you in my life.
That's about all for now.
Hoping to snag a Christmas tree by the end of the week!! Photos of the new house and it's progress so far to come:)
Love bunches,

ReplyDeleteHey Lovely,
ReplyDeleteYou are looking gorgeous going into fall. :)
It's a particularly dreary Friday morning at work for me, but your pretty cheery face and bright ensemble just made me smile. ♥
Though the weather is rainy over at your end, you are definitely the source of sunshine in your town.

ReplyDeleteI agree, they don't make comedies like that anymore! You've Got Mail was amazing.
A big hug...I know what it means to miss such an important person in your life.
It has been raining like wild over here and today it seems to be sunny thus far. I'm really glad about that. Your outfit is adorable. It reminds me of what my brothers' friends that were girls had worn when they were pre-teens/early teens in the late 80s. hehehe.

It's been raining here too, and I'm wearing big snuggly jumpers to make up for it (:
ReplyDeletePearl Harbour was horrific, but obviously I'm grateful to all those who gave their lives.
Your socks are beyond adorable with this outfit. They really add a touch of BAM.

Sweet, sweet outfit. Just like you pretty lady ❤
ReplyDeleteLoving the sweater! I agree about the best activities for wet weather days - it's not raining here at the moment but it's predicted to, plus it's quite cold, so instead of going to a BBQ tonight which was canceled we decided to stay in and invite some friends over to watch movies and play boardgames. I'm going to make lasagne! Yummy cold weather food! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE that sweater!
ReplyDeleteit perfect and this whole outfit is!
