Happy Friday Darlings,

I swear anytime I travel...(which in these photos I happened to be spending a weekend at a youth fine arts festival in which my drama team students was competing at)...I pack this dress.  It's vintage, it's super comfy (much like a sweatshirt), and it doesn't wrinkle.  In other words, it's perfect.  You know, one of those pieces you wear at least once (or twice) a week.

I'm in the habit of remixing my wardrobe quite often since I am a stay at home mom and I just don't have the budget to buy new clothing every month...because frankly, I'd rather be saving up money for other things like vacation and home improvements.  Not exciting, but practical, right?  Anyhow, this dress has made it's appearance time and time again and I make no apologies for that.  I'm a fan of how unfussy it is.  It's amazing how much less fussy I am now that there is a second kiddo in the mix of things.  Heck, I wear a hat every day...I have no time...it's amazing my face looks half decent when I leave the house.  No complaints though - I wouldn't trade this time in life for anything.  It's a little wild (in a mom sort of way), but it's wonderful.

Here's wishing you a wild and wonderful weekend my friends!
Love Bunches,

  2. I love how even your easy, comfy, and most worn piece is still an adorable dress! It's a fun piece to jazz up and remix with all those cute shoes and accessories you own. Vacations are an important thing for me to save up for too- experiences like that totally beat the high and low of a new dress. And being a stay at home mom (the best dressed one at that!) is so worth it!

  3. I love the way you style it. Plus there's nothing wrong with having favorite pieces you rewear! I think different accessories can bring on a whole fresh look to an outfit anyways!

  4. I'm so happy to hear you wear this dress so often, it looks SO cute on you! I feel like a proud mama duck and may or may not have saved these photos and spammed the link all over my social media :) The kitty brooch is the perfect finishing touch! As for the gingham dress you borrowed, NO worries whatsoever, I honestly didn't even know it was gone (which probably means I own WAYYY too many dresses! Take your time with it, seriously, and have a great weekend!

  5. Looking through the photos, I kept thinking how fun the animal print was all cheeky there at the collar and didn't even realize I'd seen the dress on your blog before- it is that remixable! It just fits all outfits and your description of it just makes it seem even more so.

  9. Well, Marisa, you do a wonderful job at remixing pieces of clothing because I don't even remember ever seeing this dress before, haha. Love the kitty cat pin and the shoes, too!

Clothes that don't wrinkle easily are my favorite kind :p.

Hope you had a great mother's day!

  10. I love that you have a beautifully creative mind that you can redesign your closet constantly! Me on the other hand, I run out of options literally within a week or so of buying new clothes. That's why I come to read blogs like yours- never cease to inspire me with your style. I also love that you're frugal about your expenses because I could definitely use a lesson in that area. I'm thinking I'm a bit like Mia and I love Amazon Prime too much ;) ♥ ♥

  11. This dress is so classic, I can see why you wear it often. You always look so awesome in your berets too :) I would totally wear hats every day if I could. Hope you had a nice time at the festival. From the pictures, it looks like a lovely place to visit.

  13. I think being able to mix and match to make fresh outfits is way more chic than buying new clothing all the time. It takes way more creativity and style in my opinion. You always look fabulous and the fact you have two little ones at home and a budget makes that even more impressive.
