I'm back with part of 2 of my Mata Traders remix challenge. Up to bat this time is the Meet Me in the Meadow Dress. Between the whimsy floral print, the pleats, and the retro silhouette choosing this beaut to remix was an obvious thing for me. Instead of remixing through the seasons, like I did the last time around, I decided to remix through the occasions. I have a lot of dresses in my closet (I'm sure many of us do), so my absolute favorites are always the ones I can take from day to night. This just happened to be one of the perfect pieces to do just that.
At School: Study Date // Coffee Break
As the cooler months roll around, you can find me from day to day in a pair of tights, some flats, and a dress with a sweater on top. I like to keep it comfy, just a tad casual and cozy as I hit the coffee shop for a little pick-me-up. Layers & some comfy shoes make this dress an easy piece to conquer the day with.

Around the Office
Before we moved to a new town and I was working full time at a school - this was pretty much so my uniform. Adding the blazer, blouse, and lady tie - make the dress look professional and pulled together without being plain old boring office-wear.

Day Party - Birthday Celebration // Baby Shower
Party time! Nothing says day party like a pretty floral dress like this and cutie pie cardigan. Add a fun and funky pair of shoes and voila! - I am ready to celebrate!

The Night Event - Wedding // Dinner Party
Speaking of celebrations - the full skirt here paired with deeper colors make this the perfect piece to party the night away in whether it be at a wedding or dinner party. I kind of love going a wee bit over-the-top and wearing a bold accessory to complete the look. This fancy schmancy headband was really all I needed to do just that.

You are such a remix master. These all look so distinct and different from one another, but each so very you and all...fit together within a style, you know?
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazingly versatile piece!! You are so fantastic at mixing pieces, and bright colours. I love every single one of these looks. It's amazing how one piece can be worn so many different ways
ReplyDeleteYou truly amaze me. You are the most genius color mixer and everything always comes together perfectly. I love how quirky the office look still is, haha. The blue tights really punch it up! I think my favorite look is the day party look. The cardigan is just so sweet and such a nice complement to the dress. I also adore the headpiece in the last look though. Each look has it's own special elements and touches!

What a fun idea for a remix and I LOVE them. I kept scrolling thinking one was my favorite until I got to the next and would think it again :) You have the most amazing closet and all of your shoes here are incredible!!! What a great dress, and you're right- the best ones are ones that can be worn day/night for different occasions.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful colour story and lovely outfits. I love the Day Party dress print and the mustard yellow flowers. Hope you have a great week dear. xx/Madison
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post, Marisa! When it comes to pairing clothes, you're a champ! ;) I love this dress, its pattern, its color, shape, everything. I'm always hesitant to buy plaited skirts/dresses because they're a pain to iron; they look lovely, though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! ;D
Everything about this dress is absoltely perfect. I can't even begin to explain how much I love it. All these looks are wonderful and I couldn't possibly choose a favourite - they are all too good.
ReplyDeleteThe more I look at your 1-dress-4-occasions posts, I feel like I want to make one too :)
ReplyDeleteThis dress is super pretty and I love all the ways your styled it, but I have to say that I love the summer- version with nothing on top most, because the beauty of the dress is not hidden :)
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
