Outfit Details: Dress, Brooch & Purse: Antique Mall // Hat: UO // Vintage - Thrifted
Hello, hello,
This past weekend found me back in my hometown just for a day or two to recoup from my seemingly long but wonderful week at teaching camp. Several weeks back I was asked by a good friend to shoot some photos of her for her upcoming album's cover art. It's rare that I actually get to hop behind the camera these days, so naturally I jumped at the chance to do so. This Starry Barn - a national historic landmark, is the exact place I took her to. I'm sure you've seen similar barn structures around from time to time, but this particular one was the first of it's kind to have ever been built and a charming but deteriorating little place it is indeed. I just couldn't pass the chance to explore here just one more time as supposedly there are plans to tear it all down and relocated it elsewhere.
So that's about all for now. Hope your weekend was a swell one. Any exciting plans on tap for those of you celebrating July 4th? Have a loverly week darlings!
Love Bunches,

That's so funny Hattie b/c didn't you just find a scarf like the one I wore in a couple posts back? Great minds think alike they say :) (or at least find the same vintage...hehe). I can't wait to see how you style it - whether you save it for a dress or concoct one of your gorgeous jewelry pieces from it:)
Deletewhat a beautiful old barn looks haunted! that bag is darling where did you get it? I am obsessed with market bags at the moment and really wish I could find a thrift one as they are pretty expensive even on etsy!

Thanks Ilana! I find a lot of my bags, accessories, and even dresses at local Antique Malls in my area - there are a good plenty of them near me. They aren't as dirt cheap as thrift stores but because they house so many vendors, they are typically much less than finding vintage on Etsy or in little Antique Shops. A lot of times the vendors will offer discounts on their items - and will be more than happy to cut you a deal if you get to know them:) I got this bag for $8!
DeleteHi Lovely Lady! I so often find myself at your site marveling at the stunning photographs. This post is no exception. The pictures are beautiful and you look so fresh and cool in your nice dress. Not to mention your mad balance. There's no way I could stand on that railing and look so comfortable!
ReplyDeleteHappy July 4th to you.
