Etsy Loving: Black & White & Green All Over

Hi there darlings,
I'm black and white and green all over today with very favorite Etsy finds & a couple of cuties from my shop as well.  With spring (and St. Patty's Day for that matter) right around ye olde corner, I was kind of on a green/nature inspired kick here:

With a name like Foxhole Print Shop, I couldn't help but just be drawn to Nicole's quirky, sweet, and cool shop of inky illustrations.  She was so very kind to send me her Dapper Dandy Dude below who is now gracing the wall in my living room, sweetly watching over my piano corner as I play.  If you are in the market for some wall whimsies yourself, I would highly recommend taking a hop on over to her shop.  Not only are her prices very reasonable, but her illustrations are full of cool detail and seriously as cute as they come.  Oh and Nicole is an absolute sweetheart as well!

Happy Friday Darlings,

Seems to me that these weeks are flying by faster than ever...before I know it, my little baby boy will be making his arrival into this beautiful world.  But in the meantime, this week has been another busy one...mainly because I have been involved in planning a bridal shower for one of my very close friends.
As the shower has a British Tea Party theme to it - my role today has been whipping up the truffles.  Nutella flavored confections, anyone?  By the time this is all said and done I will have oodles and oodles, so come on over to my kitchen and help yourself :-)

Other than that, the very sweet Laura of Shop of Worldly Delights on Etsy sent me the cutest package full of hair bows from her Vintage Garden Collection.  Seriously, I couldn't have been more delighted (no pun intended), being a bow-wearing kind of gal myself.  Better yet, the whole collection is made from repurposed vintage pieces and fabrics, so it's 100% earth friendly. I can't wait to share more of these little beauties with you because the prints on them are whimsical and darling to the umpteenth power.  I stuck this particular one on my little red beret as the weather was windy and dancing in the mid 20s.  Yep, spring surely hasn't sprung on my side of the mountain yet but this little pastel bow surely puts some spring in my step...hehe.  You can check out Laura's shop right here if you do so please.

Well then, have one perfectly sweet weekend my dears!  Catch you soon!

Friday Favorites // July Edition

Hello Darlings,

It's hard to believe July is almost over as I feel like summer has just started.  Where may I ask has the time run off to?  Anyhow, at the close of each month I  (along with some of my sponsors) want to do a short little post on some of the current things we are hearting - yes, I know that is not a word, but it should be, right?

My picks:

How could I possibly resist this little beauty?  The floral print is tugging at my heartstrings.

1960s Vintage Playsuit

If only this darling little number were my size.  I would have surely snagged it up by now.

Tiare Coconut Oil

Summer is not summer without slathering this delightful smelling coconut oil all over me.  It's 100% natural and scented with gardenia flower...not to mention it's a way better moisturizer than any artificial smelling lotion out there.

Lisa's Pick:

Since we are smack dab in the middle of summer, right now I'm loving vintage inspired bathing suits. I love mine from Frankie Four- they are made to your measurements, out of vintage fabric!

Hattie's Pick:

Hey Bloggettes! I'm Hattie from Curly is Contagious. I'm a music fanatic and what has really tickled my fancy this past month is Justin Townes Earle...Have you heard of him?

My manfriend came across his performance on the Letterman show. Townes Earl's voice is so gravelly...dare I say it...behind those thick, red, rimmed glasses....sexy. What is it about musicians that they make a girls heart thump a little harder in her chest?

Watch it below and try not to swoon too much...

Brooke's Pick:

I am currently loving my handmade felt flower ring from Kyrgyzstan. We bought this from a market, that also sells heaps of other popular Kyrgyz felt products, and I haven't been able to leave the house without it.

Happy Friday to you all.  May your weekend be as lovely as ever.

See you real soon!

A long walk, the winter sun when it shines all yellow and warms you up a bit amidst the cool air, the tickling soft touch of my sons little fingers, holding on tight as we cross over the rough gravel and stone.  These are the things I love about the every day.  Things may seem monotonous at times...but if this is what monotonous is, I truly don't mind.  Spending time with both Albert and my little guy is quite the hoot.

pssss....my Etsy shop is up:)  Say hello to Allyhoot Vintage.  I'm not into doing huge amounts of promoting here on my blog, however I will tell you that this week I am offering 20% with the code "NewHoot".   Here's a lil ol peek...

Catch you later darlings!
