Candy Coated Wanderer

We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

I don't have a whole lot to say today darlings. This past weekend really blew by me like a gail force wind. There is so much to do between now and the end of the month to prepare for our big move and to be quite honest, the whole thing actually feels quite surreal and too good to be true so much that I must beg for someone to pinch me and awake me from this dream. Anyways, enough jibber-jabber. I hope you darlings had a fabulous weekend. I felt like a jordan almond today with my choice color palette and and I quite liked that. Not that I particularly like jordan almonds...(does anybody, really?) they are just so pretty to look at. Handful of pastels, anyone?

On a side note: The dress was a swap with the beautiful and charming Miss Amber Rose of Laughing with Broken Eyes. If you haven't been acquainted with her loverly blog yet, head on over and check it out. She is a doll!

That's all for now, my eyes are getting heavy so I must be off to bed.

Much Love,

Before heading back home and back to work, Albert and I spent one more day in Philly upon his return. I wish days like this could last forever. How lovely to be free and without a single care in the world. We ventured through the streets of Philadelphia running about like two kids. During our travels, I had the most scrumptious-dilly-umptious honey and brie bagel sandwich at B2 Cafe...just another little bit to the make the day even sweeter. We ended up on boathouse row underneath a striking bridge where there wasn't a soul in sight. It felt completely like it was our own...our own little place to laugh, carry on, and enjoy one another's company.

Hoping your day is full of smiles and plenty of laughter!

As you can probably guess by now, my sweet Albert is back from Oklahoma safe and sound and in my company again. I couldn't be more content. It's funny, I think this was the longest we were ever away from one another since we've been married (which will be 7 years at the end of this month). Anyhow as the week was very long...I did manage to get all the things I planned to accomplished, which included repurposing an old dinette set for our new house. As I still have a long way to go till it's complete, I am already thrilled with how it is turning out. More to come on that at a later time. Now I just want to enjoy this evening with Al, strolling down Kelly Drive, sipping coffee and perhaps coming home and watching a little Harry Potter to get us in the mood for July 15th:)

Talk to you later darlings!

The weather has been so hot and humid here in Pennsylvania, that I simply cannot go out without a silly oversized hat to keep myself shaded. It's pretty brutal. Forget dresses and heels on the weekend... it's all about shorts or rompers when I am not in the office. How are you darlings surviving the summer heat? Have you melted yet?

Other than that, my week has been quite a blur. My hubby is far off in the land of Oklahoma helping his brother move for his new job. It's always a drag to be away from him, but I am taking it in stride. It will make it that much more sweet when I pick him up from the airport on Sunday afternoon. Until then, looks like my weekend will be filled with plenty of thrifting, headband making, and maybe even furniture repurposing for the new house. I'm also thinking about diving into the old series' Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes to pass some time along. Any suggestions?

Have yourself a splendiful Thursday!

A very Happy July 4th to all you darlings here in the States. Though we live in a country that is far from perfect, it is still a blessing to live in one that is free. Have a fun day picnicking, barbecuing, baseball gaming, firework gazing, and celebrating with friends and family.

Happy Monday to everyone else and wishing you a beautiful week ahead!

Hello darlings!
Hope you are having a swell week. I'm just busy as a little ol bee preparing for the big move. Lots to do finishing up at my job, finalizing application papers for the house, and the quite dreaded packing. (Groan) I've promised myself this time around I am not going to get overwhelmed. Anyhoo, my outfit today is courtesy of my closet. Nothing new...and seeing that I will not be working at least for a little while after we move, I am really making an effort to "shop my closet" and thrift more often...and I'm quite content with this.

It's Thursday and a three day weekend is nearly peeking it's head around the corner to say "hello". I am smiling very big right now just thinking about this:)

One thing I am positively sure of when I have my own house, I am determined to have a garden. Whether big or small, I do not care. I just want to master the art of the green thumb and wake up to this in my back yard every summer morning. Speaking of houses, my husband and I just bought one. It's our first and our very own. I couldn't be more excited and feel more blessed.

Anything you darlings would like to master the art of?

Happy Monday my dears!
