Though my presence may be a tad sparse this week in blogland - you can find me over at the loverly Kristian's blog, Never Fully Dressed Without a Style - serving you up one scrumptious little life hack that will have your sweet tooth shouting "hooray". Hope to catch you on the flip side....

Until then...Love bunches,

Oh hi darlings!

So no, I have not jumped on the pumpkin latte train yet...I'm telling you, as much as I love those little suckers, I just can't bring myself to let go of summer.  Really, the season is not technically over yet, so bring on plenty of mocha banana fraps before the 22nd and the cold weather rolls around.

In celebration of these last days of summer, I hopped on a kayak the other day and paddled my way around our lake, taking in every lily pad that I possibly could.  Of course, I got stuck in a wee storm and some howling wind right in the middle of the lake - but luckily that blew over quick and if anything, it made my afternoon on the water a little more adventurous.

Other than that, at the end of this week I will be leaving for vacation on Hilton Head Island, SC once again.  It's my home away from home and well, the end of this week just can't come quick enough.  However before then, the Mr. and I will be heading to Philly to see Vampire Weekend - yep, this week is just chock full of exciting things!  So I'll end it right there - wishing you one awesome-possum week as well my friends!

Cheers to a sweet summer's end and a fantastic fall to come!

Oh hello there,

We had a pleasant dance with Fall weather just so briefly the other week and I thought what better thing to do than to pull out my favorite new sweater from my armoire?  So here it is - daisies.  Gosh, I do love daisies, so naturally I was thrilled when I spotted this little beaut on Chicnova.  As much as I loathe the weather getting cooler, I do love a good sweater and truth is - I simply do not have that many to my name.  I'm pretty sure I go into denial during the cooler months - hence the reason I don't wear a coat very often as well as sweaters nonetheless.  However - I see that pattern changing pretty darn quickly if I happen to find more sweaters as cozy and adorable as this.

Ok, I'll stop rambling on about my sweater.  But really - it made me quite happy on this chilly day.

In other news, it was the busiest weekend to date.  I had friends and family in and out of my house all weekend long... so much of weekend was spent cooking up a storm.  Better yet, it sweetly concluded with this dark chocolate peanut butter brandy cake my friend and I whipped up.  Sounds all fancy-schmancy, right?  Not at all.  We totally went the cheaters route and used a devil's food box mix, swapping out the water for brandy then dumping in a healthy heap of dark chocolate chips.  The frosting was our own chocolate peanut butter and it was simply out of this world!

So I'll leave you with that - if you're in town and have a hankering for something sweet, drop on by my place. :-)

Have one loverly week darlings,

Vines & Vows

Outfit Details:
Dress: Knitted Dove, Wizard of Oz Collection (gift from mom - thanks!)
Scarf & Basket: Vintage, Antique Mall
Socks: UO
Shoes: Seychelles

Not so very long ago a good friend of ours married his lady love and the Mr., the babe, and I ventured a couple hours away to an enchanting little vineyard in the countryside where the festivities took place.  Weddings are magical indeed and this one was no exception.  Who can resist a night filled with lots of love, laughter, salted caramel espresso cupcakes and grapevines as far as the eye could see?  Not me!

Anyhow, I received this Wizard of Oz themed dress from my mom as a congrats-you-had-another-baby gift and this was the perfect night to take it out.  I do adore putting on a fancier frock and dancing the night away.  It's off note but in case you were wondering - this little vintage picnic basket has been the best thing for carrying some diapers, wipes, a bottle, and pacifier when I don't feel like lugging around ye ol diaper bag whilst attending a special event. It's amazing how good one becomes at packing lots of baby paraphernalia into a seemingly small space second kid around.

Cheers to great weddings and great loves.  It was a splendiful evening - and as for the little guy, well he slept through the whole thing!

Catch up with you soon darlings,
Love bunches,
