House Tour: Music Room

Hello & happy Monday darlings, 

A little while back I wrote an post on my living room inspiration and included a whole lot of pretty photos that inspired the way I decorated my own living room (SEE HERE), which in our house is actually used as a music room.  Anyhow, I thought it was about time that I actually show you how my room turned out now that it is about 95% finished.  Sure, there are definitely things I still want to do in it...like mount holders for my ukelele and violin on the wall, add more vintage pictures to my wall collages, and replace my couches with pretty tufted ones (my current ones are hand-me-downs from my grandfather), but all in good time.  

It's been about two years since we moved into this house and little by little, I am fixing up the rooms to my own liking.  This is the first to be almost complete.  Yes, when you purchase a house, renovating and decorating can be a very long and ongoing process.  Nonetheless, I am enjoying this room to the fullest now that it has my own personal touch on it - (it had dingy sage colored walls when we moved in) and using every day to play my instruments and write music.

Oh hello there darlings...or should I say bunnies, giving that this is somewhat of an Easter themed post and all.  

Anyhow, Easters for us are traditional - church, big family Easter dinner, an egg hunt, and lots of Easter desserts and I quite love it that way.  More than anything, I think all holidays have become a little sweeter with two little guys running (or crawling) around the house.  It kind of allows you to see it through a child's eyes once again.  Anyhoo, I won't get all schmaltzy on you, I just let the photos speak for themselves, hehe.  

Other than that, I think it's safe to say I'm back from my hiatus...darn technology, I swear it hates me.  Oy vey.  Now I look forward to catching up with all of you and your loverly corners of the internet because it's been way too long.

Oh hello there, 

It's been a wee while since I've been around these parts...and I do miss it.  It's not intentional though, my poor computer bit the dust, and well that kind of makes writing and reading blog posts a bit of a challenge.  I will fully admit that I have been eating up all the extra time on my hands to enjoy the sun and more time outside with the fam.  However, I have managed to raid my Mr.'s computer for the day to bring you a post over at Flock Together.  March with me this way to read more...

I did tell you that I adore poking around old places, right?  Anyhow, another afternoon saw me out and about, this time with my vintage styling-blogging gal pal Kayla of Fairytale of a Vintage Wallflower, and boy did we uncover a fascinating little gem in the next town over!

I've been friends with Kayla for awhile over Instagram...(imagine that!), however this was the first time we were able to meet for reals in person and it's kind of just awesome possum to find another human being who lives in the same town as you do and loves thrifting, vintage, blogging, taking photos, etc, etc...you know what I mean, so naturally it was a match made in blogger heaven...ha!  

Just before we hit the Thrift, we drove by this old dilapidated train station that apparently used to be the heart of the city when it built in the late 1800s.  After it shut down in the 70s, a restaurant/club...(see the colorful train car in the back) was added on.  How I would love to just see how booming this little station once was back in the day.  Anyhow, this is how it once look:

Interesting, right?  So that's just about all for now.  I do hope to poke around this little station once again, but for now, I will enjoy my second cup of coffee before the laundry calls my name.
