Through the Thicket

intensely silent under old great trees”

Well it is indeed autumn, and the leaves are just about starting to turn.  This makes me very excited.  Ya know what else does?  Apple cider - both hot and cold and sometimes with caramel and whipped cream - mmm!  I have consumed tons of it and still can't get enough. What's your favorite seasonal goody?

Seems like the perfect drink to come home to after a nice long walk on this sunny but cool autumn day.  Al and I went meandering through my old stomping grounds just like on so many Saturdays afternoons spent at my grandparents' house growing up, when I would wander into these very woods, leading my younger cousins on our own little exploration.  I always pretended I was Ferdinand Magellan (I was an odd child) trekking through uncharted territory, while we crossed bridges, tackling the thicket and discovering new land.  Somehow it never got old.

Happy Monday darlings!

Love,

  30. mmm that sounds delish! the leaves are jusssst now beginning to change, you can't really tell because it has rained so much here lately, and where i live is almost completely surrounded in pine trees :(! hopefully sometime soon we'll be headed up to a mountain near my house to take photos. i'm really excited!

you look so beautiful(as always!) and thos tights are to die for! i love them! i'm sure if i wore them they'd blend right in with my skin because i'm so fair, lol!

i remember the days when i was little and i would pretend that i was a witch or fairy that lived in the woods and made potions and dust from the elements around me. it's incredible to think how amazing a child's imagination could possibly be.
