"There is nothing is more musical than a sunset."
~Claude Debussy
Dress: Vintage via swap with The Modest Muse/Scarf and bracelet: Vintage from Grandmother/Brooch: Gift from sister/Shoes: UO
I do believe a sunset creates some kind of magical symphony for the eyes. Coming back to this place- Valley Forge National Park, reminded me of my final semester in college where Albert and I used to sit in this very location and watch the sunset, coffee in hand. It really is more beautiful here for some reason. The vast tree lined hills along the grandeur of the open sky is the perfect palette for the setting sun to paint it's picture upon. Anyways, it was nice to take the long way home from Philly and go back to our stomping grounds to enjoy this feeling once again.
As for the dress, it is my new favorite. I feel all demure in it. The very sweet Jacqueline of The Modest Muse swapped it with me along with other lovely pieces in a swap/mystery box kind of exchange which was a ton of fun.
That's all for now darlings. I must be off to wrap things up here at my final days at work.
So long for now!
Love,
sunset pictures are just beautiful... i love the vintage dress.. its to die for!

ReplyDeleteThe background of your pics reminds me of The Notebook for some reason. It must be the beautiful trees, lovely house, and the pretty girl in the flirty dress ;) Speaking of your dress, I really like that print on it.

You look so pretty with a head scarf! I love how you wore it, and it is a perfect little finishing touch to this gorgeous patterned dress. I can certainly understand why this location is a favorite for you- it's just beautiful, and in my opinion, trees always add a certain something extra special to any occasion.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweetest kindest words about my Nonna. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, too. It was so comforting to read your thoughtful comment, and it really, truly means a lot to me. You're absolutely right- we're so lucky to be able to wear and enjoy our grandmothers' things, I know it makes them very happy. <3 xxxx
