Happy hump day darlings!

I'm back and feeling better than ever as I came off of another open mic night yesterday evening.  I'm as shy as they come and getting up in front of people kind of scares the pom poms out of me, but at the same time, it's rather exhilarating.  This time around I did a couple of duets with my gals pals and my ukelele in hand - a little Ingrid Michaelson and Bon Iver and one of my own numbers all by my little lonesome.  What can I say?  I'm surely not the greatest singer in the world (I think I kind of get by on the quirky indie girl card...lol), but I do love to write songs and share them with others.  One of these days, I may even post something, but for now I will just share my excitement with you.  Yep it was one very swell evening.  Also - there's plenty of characters that show up to these open mic nights, so if anything, it's pretty darn entertaining if I do say so.

So today, I'm donning a wee frock that's been in my closet for 5 years.  Yeah it's super comfy, so it's one of those that I probably won't let go of.  As I'm one to not shy from color, I did the very opposite here and branched out into a more neutral number - for me at least that is.  The cherry on the sundae though?  Definitely my gnome shoes that I scored for a wee $40.  It was one of those cases where the stars just aligned and they went on mega sale at the same time that I had a gift card and a discount code on top of it.  So yeah, these little guys were MTB mine.

Ok that all for now.  That second cup of coffee is calling my name.  Tootaloo!

Love Bunches,

Why hello there darlings,

I'm finally back after some long overdue recouping time from the youth Fine Arts Festival that me and my team of teens put so many blood, sweat, and tears into the past several months.  I'm sad to report that our drama team did not make it on to the national level, but not to fret, every last one of the students did an amazingly awesome job, had the time of their lives participating and really, that's all that counts, right?  It's funny how when you are around people for so long, you kind of start to become like a family.  No complaints from me.

Speaking of fine arts...this is pretty much so what I wear to these competitions.  A comfy dress, bright colors, comfy shoes and most likely a quirky print.  I mean, I hanging with teenagers and so this ol' gal, needs a little something to feel young and fresh and super fantastic and in my case, an outfit like this is where it's at. Enough said.

How about you?  If you are ever around students, how do you tend to dress?

Have one fantastic day my friends...love bunches,
