Sunday Dinner

Today we went to my parent's house for Sunday dinner. My mom makes the best sauce ever (a staple if you are Italian, like we are). This is what I wore: feeling comfy-cas on this chilly autumn day, I paired my 70s inspired trippy scene tunic top with boots and a slouchy hat. Once the weather changes, slouchy hats are one of my favorite accessories.

I'd Like to Know, Where Did Summer Go?

Summer, probably my favorite season. I love the hot weather, the weekend road trips, vacationing, and yes weddings galore. Looking back on this summer it seemed to fly by faster than usual. Maybe because I'm getting older, maybe because I getting busier. But whatever the reason may be, one memory that stands out is my cousin David's wedding up in Erie, PA in a lovely little vineyard.

It's fall now, so I'd like to reminisce back and share some pics of me and my hubby from this beautiful day. I was feeling oh so pretty in my as I'd like to call it, "Alice in Wonderland" dress. It rained earlier that day, but then the sun came out and painted a beautiful sunset. The air was fresh, the wine was divine, but best of all was the time spent catching up with family and friends.

One of my favorite pairs of booties.

It's hard to see, but these tights have little polka dots all over them.

Monday Monday

Ah Monday morning, what can I say? The work week begins again. Back to the daily grind of paper work, deadlines, phone calls, and the list goes on. What better way to combat the Monday blues than with a comfortable, colorful, and fun outfit.

Like I said before, I'm in the fifth month of being preggo and it's horribly hard to find
maternity clothes that aren't completely boring and generic. For this I am so grateful that my closet has consisted of lots of flowy tunic tops and babydoll dresses that aren't maternity wear and that I can still get by on.

As you will come to find, many
of my outfits contain splashes of bright color, some kind of headband or hat, and a standout piece of jewelry. Side note: I absolutely heart my owl necklace and it seems to work it's way into my outfits probably more than it should. But whatever it may be, color, creativity, and uniqueness is a must and that's what starts my Mondays off on the right foot.

New Beginnings

This is the start of my first blog ever. I'm not sure where it will take me or what it will encompass. However one thing is certain, this is a place for me to use as a creative outlet to gabble on about all that I love, hate, and adore when it comes to fashion, beauty, music, and who really knows what else.

I currently find myself in my fifth month of pregnancy. Though I work a 9-5 job, I find myself a tad stir crazy living in a small town that lacks excitement. Lately I've been bored...and that is where this blog comes in. It's bothersome getting by at times when you march to the beat of your own drum in a place like this. I try my hardest to find inspiration in the smallest of things, to continue to stay true to myself, and most of all to love the life I have been given. So here you go, if you happen to stumble across this blog and take a read, thank you, enjoy, and hopefully you will find a little morsel of inspiration to tuck away in your thoughts.

Much Love,
Marisa
